Early Years foundation stage
In the EYFS at Ormesby Primary School, we understand that a child’s early experiences have a significant impact on their future health, well-being and success in life. Therefore, we aim for children to leave our EYFS with a positive self-image and the knowledge, skills and understanding that allows them to be confident communicators, resilient in the face of challenges, have their own ideas and show care for themselves, other people and their world. We aim to lay a secure foundation for children’s education by developing the skills and attitudes that prepare them for the next phase of learning in Key Stage 1 and their lives beyond school.
